It was Wagapalooza time again!!! Saturday evening, May 22, 2010 from 5 PM to 9PM at Winston Wells Ball Field in the heart of Cruz Bay, the Animal Care Center of St. John once again held its island version of the Westminster Dog Show. We found perfect coconut retrievers to win the much coveted prizes of: Best Trick; Best Lap Dog; Best Dancer; Best Spots; Best Old Timer; Best Puppy Love; Best Costume; Best Jumper; and Best Tail.
This was the tenth year of Wagapalooza! Thanks to Jeff and Jen Donnelly of Jolly Dog and Moe Chabuz and the late Doug Sica of Skinny Legs, Wagapalooza has become the major fundraising event for the Animal Care Center. Wagapalooza had always been held at Skinny's in Coral Bay, but it finally outgrew that venue. This year marked the fifth time in Cruz Bay and this year was even bigger and better. Wagapalooza organizers had some new ideas to combine with the good old standards. With Waga in the evening we attract more families and more dogs (it is cooler!!!!). There was great food and drink all evening.

There are maybe 20 like the photo to the right (Photoshopped), the rest are event photos; the "artistic" shots are mostly on pages 5 and 6. They make great holiday cards--show everyone how zany we are here! If you have the inclination to buy: all profits from print sales and merchandise sales (t-shirts, coffee mugs, totes and MUCH more) go to the ACC (not to Red Sunset Photography)!
And check for the Waga package I put together--lots of good stuff :) So even if you were not there, you can still participate.
I put in a few STJ wildlife photos in case you want something other than your dogs on your products.
